Does anyone know anything abou this company? They sent me a targeted offer to refinance my high interest vehicle note. I'm currently at 16.7 % with Household, and their offer says they can go as low 9.99 %. Just wondering if it's even worth my time to respond to the offer. I did a search on this board a couple of days ago, and didn't come up with any hits.
boy that is up to you. They have no listing under the BBB. I cannot find them in smartpages. They are no longer listed under licensed mortgage companies. Personally I would stay away but it is up to you. Have you considered trying eloan or lendingtree to see if you can get refinanced?
I sent this email a long time ago. Since then, I did in fact apply for the auto refinance through Farragut and I got accepted for a 10.49 APR. There were no fees to refinance. I am now paying less each month towards my payment and it will be payed off sooner. I've been with them probably about 6 months now, with no problems. Farragut Financial is a DBA for a company called First Investors Financial Services out of Texas. Info on them is at http://biz.yahoo.com/ic/44/44997.html. I hate to sound like an advertisement for them, but I am really happy to get a lower interest rate after a BK a few years ago. I will continue to post on this company periodically, as I continue on with them, as I don't see any other posts on this board for this company, and they have helped me with my credit situation.
Finally! Someone who comes back and gives us the ending to the story LOL! Ok, you mentioned the BK on file, but do you remember what your scores were when you were accepted, and/or do you remember who they pulled. That info might really help someone.
When I was accepted, I know my FICO was somewhere between 600 and 640. My FICO has remained in that range for the last year. I think it was around 620, actually, at the time of my acceptance. That was with a job of 4 years and a $47,000 income. My BK was discharged 9/01. I think perhaps next I should at least try and see if my credit union will refiance at an even lower rate. I doubt it, but it's wort a try.
