Here is the fax number for disputes if anybody needs it for Transunion (610)546-4602. I figure a couple hundred dispute faxes a day might get their attention.lol
Very cool. Have you disputed this way? What were your results. How did you get a fax dispute #? Just curious. Got any for the other two???
Here's one for Experian, given to me by American General Finance after they sent me confirmation that they were deleting two inquiries off of my report. FAX (224) 698-5375 Ms. Sunray McQueen Click on link below to view copy of said letter. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-6/746690/scan0004.jpg
So, that fax# goes to Ms. McQueen at Experian??? You think this would work if there has been no previous contact w/ her??? Worth a shot I guess. Anybody have EquiFAX fax??? I need this one bad.. and Thank you a mill!
Can't really hurt I guess. Must be someone who is American General's point of contact there. The way I see it, the more people you can bug the better your chances are. And if it is just one person, eventually they'll get sick and tired of hearing from you and maybe something will get done expediously. I had that happen when I was fighting it out with Providian close to four years ago. Guy got so sick and tired of my constant faxes, that things got straightened out REAL quick. But then Providian got out of the sub-prime market and the accounts were all transferred to Emerge.........
Well, like you said...you NEVER know. Its just a letter and a few sec. to fax. Well worth the effort I'd say. Again, a cry for Equifax fax?? Anybody? This is the booger I need right now. Not that I won't need the others in the future...or not that i haven't copied and pasted them into my pertinent notes!! Thanks guys...your the bestest.
Here are three that I found for Equifax on another board: 888-729-0083 866-233-3777 866-838-1016 I don't know if they go anyone in particular or not, but I just dialed each one and all three are indeed in service.
ty you SO much!!!!! THat's awesome. So, I wonder which I should use? Any guesses...more than one?? Obviously, I have been living in he dark about faxing disputes. Have you all done a lot of this with any results? I just love getting new #'s and address for ammunition. Feel better just HAVING it. Crazy?? Maybe.....
Personally, I would shotgun it out to all the numbers that I could gather. As well as mail in the dispute along with disputing online. The more the merrier.
Like they say, knowledge IS power. What I wouldn't do to obtain the fax or email addy of one of the CRA's CEOs..... Now THAT would make things a bit more interesting.
Lol...I will do just that. Makes ME merrier anyways. One here, three or four there. The WILL get sick of me eventually. As for the CEO of the CRA's well, we are ALL workin on that one. THAT would be one hot post!
Well it seems as if I must have struck a nerve at Experian. Click link below to view FAX I just received from them. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-6/746690/scan0001.gif I personally think they are full of s**t. Why would American General Finance use that FAX number to request deletion of information if it were as Experian claims 'a sales and marketing office'???? So I still plan on using it as often as necessary. My constant bombardment seems to have managed to get things taken care of. And also note how they have XXX-XXX-XXXX listed as their fax number on the coversheet they sent me. My suggestion for what its worth--keep using it and see what happens. I personally think that they just do not like the idea of a consumer having one of their coveted FAX numbers, and they are trying to intimidate me into not using it.
