How will I know if Equifax will take my dispute seriously? I have check equifax to see if there is a pending investigation and there is none. Others here have faxed and had correction performed next day. The fax number used was 866.233.3777. If anyone has a faxx number that has yield success, please let me know.

    Thanks!

Pending investigations only online if they were entered online.

    Love

We have never completed an online investigate for my husband always by phone. We have always verified that the phone rep had initialized the investigation by selecting request an onvestigation online.

Supposedly they have five days to get around to a fax. I'd give it some more time.

Yeah, 5 days supposedly - the ca faxed in MY udf on 3/26, but they said they didn't get it, so I faxed in my copy which they rec'd on 4/26, which at first they denied until I called and re-sent it - now they say they will accept it, but they probably won't delete it until 5/26 - 30 days after they received the copy - they play games. I think I will just call them every day to check on the status of the deletion...

They tick me off, and I hate them.

If anybody can come with up with ANY caselaw or letters stating they have a certain time to update their files after receiving correct information I would like to know what it says.
