Do cras have 30 days to do anything with what you fax them? I faxed a letter from Citibank that was from March that directed TU to delete some inquiries. As of this week, they're still on. So I call and get the fax number. I fax them Tuesday. I call Thursday to make sure the fax got there. They said they have no record of it. Gave me another fax number. I faxed it Thursday. The stuff is still on my report. I also disputed it online over a month ago - gave them the person's name and telephone number of who signed the letter and all I got out of that was a letter saying they don't investigate inquiries. Big help. Getting kinda frustrated here.. its almost been 2 months since those inquiries were supposed to come off. Ozzy.
Only thing I could suggest is to send a copy of the letter from Citibank, along with copies of each fax confirmation showing that TU indeed received the faxes with the letter requesting deletion, and be sure to send it CRRR. After you get the green card back, call TU and ask them when they'll be deleting. That way, you'll have absolute proof (although the fax confirmations should have been good enough) that TU received the Citibank letter, plus you're showing TU you're keeping tabs on them (by sending copies of the fax confirmations). Good luck.
Thanks guys.. I pulled my report and apparently 2 months, a few phone calls and several faxes finally motivated them to remove those 3 inquiries. Yippy SKippy. Didn't do a darn thing for my score though.. didn't budge. Oh well...at least I'm down 3 inquires! Ozzy.
Let me get this straight; "and all I got out of that was a letter saying they don't investigate inquiries. Big help". You got a letter from TU say they do not investigate inquiries??? Your kiddin me right? And you're wondering what to do??? lol
"SINCE YOU REFUSE TO INVESTIGATE, I WILL GET $1,000.00 FROM SMALL CLAIMS COURT TO MAKE ME LESS IRRITATED AT YOU"
