I've been reading where people are opting to NOT send validation letters as CRRR but rather, faxing them to save money. My question is, to those who are doing this - is it working? My other question, FOR THOSE WHO ARE USING IT, will these faxed documents hold up in court - if (heaven forbid) you have to go? What proof do you have that the letter was received (besides the printout from the fax?) Thanks in advance
This may not be a direct answer, but there have been cases that I have heard about that the court accepted the fax printout as proof of delivery. I think that you would need to check with the FTC and get an opinion from them about how they feel. They are not case law, but their opinion does carry alot of weight with the courts in these cases. Interesting concept and I hope it wroks. fla-tan
