I had a spiegal account that shows as a charge off on my credit report. has anybody had luck getting a secured fcnb card with a similiar situation. How is fcnb on settling the account? FYI, I have had no collection agency call on this account and it is listed on by cra's with the original creditor. the co is being disputed, but i just want to know about settling, in case it comes back verified.
I have found it nearly impossible to get an old bk tradeline with them deleted. My husband got a secured card with them last year, he went slightly overlimit and they cancelled it the same month, they finally turned it back on this month, but dropped the cl to $100 and charged a $25 reinstatement fee. They are nasty, nasty to deal with and have no mercy. I know this doesn't apply to you, but I haven't had any luck at all with them on anything.
