I have a chargeoff from FCNB 1996. NOrthland Group purchased the account. Before finding this board and knowing better I settled with NOrthland Group. HOwever, FCNB just sent me a preapproval for cc with a low limit. Should I contact FCNB and ask to remove this chargeoff in exchange for opening a new account with them?
