after reading a post here about problems with fcnb i am wondering if i should accept their guranteed secured card offer.Send 200.00 for a fcnb card with a 2,000 credit line apr 24.9 annual fee 59.00.It does not mention how much of the credit line can be used for cash advances.Any suggestions? They also state that if i am not approved i will receive my 200.00 check back in 2-3 weeks. If they say i am guranteed a card why did they add that statement? Thanks

200 for guaranteed (you sure? its not up to?) $2000 line is an excellent deal. Don't worry about the APR just pay in full every month.

FCNB must be getting desparate to do 10X secured deposit accounts.

You'll get a spiegel sooner or later too.

This must be a new offer. They told me before up to five times and only offered me 100% of my deposit for credit and a 18% APR and $39 annual fee.

Your annual fee and APR suck. I wouldn't deal with this company, but others would. It's entirely up to you :) Just be careful they don't "lose" your check to try to bilk you of $8.

They approve 80% of their applicants. Not sure why it contradicts itself in your offer.

thats an interesting offer. 24.9% is very high - but you do get an excellent credit line for $2K - reports as normal unsecured card.

They give 30 days grace period on average - and they do go to unsecured - I have 2 of them MC/V
and a Spiegel card. Cash Advances are 50% for the first yr I believe - but may be different with your offer. I would do it.

Banks MUST PULL A CREDIT REPORT - under terms for VISA/MC contracts. If your check bounced - or if you were up for CREDIT FRAUD on a criminal basis - those 2 things would stop it.

    You'll get the card. dogman
