Okay here we go: First Consumer's National Bank, charged-off my cc acount in 11/2000 they sold it to a CA on 3/2002, so they will not discuss the account with me because they no longer own it. I told them that is not what I am calling about, I am not calling to settle this account. I want it reported accurately. (I know I should not be talking to them on the phone, but I had to, I will explain) They are reporting the account as charge off with the charge off balance of 800, and a past due payment of 100. Now how is this possible? I disputed with EX and they verified again! So I call FCNB and they said EX did not verify anything with us this month so stop calling us we do not own the account. Okay, I got their point. Now here are my questions, how can you report an $800 charge off with a past due of $100, and how do you experian verify something that the OC says was not verified. I know I should request a procedural from EX, but does anyone ever get one?!! Also I gotta get that FCNB anyone have an idea? Sorry for such a long post.
Why didn't you ask FCNB to give you something in writing that they didn't dispute anything with them? That's what I would of done first... then go after the CRA w/ that letter!! This way you can back them into a corner and get them to delete it!!!!!!
I just called FCNB back, they now say they verified with EX on Aug. 20. They verified name add and SSN, that still does not explain a past due. The CSR said it take 30 to 90 days to update. That still is not accurate info being reported. Any ideas?
