ok, I'm irritated. I got an Eddie Bauer card not realizing I couldn't pay online. But... I found out Capital One makes balance transfers to FCNB electronically.

So I pay Cap1 then bt any FCNB balance to them. Well... for 2 days now the FCNB balance transfer has "been received and cleared"... but it's not showing up on my account.

So they're just holding my money... nice. Now of course I'm under the grace period but it still really ticks me off.

As I'm closing down some accounts and trying to rid myself of some of the old "subprime"... these practices keep bothering me.

At this rate, I may just systematically close all the old "starter" cards and just keep Cap1 and Amex. That's enough ;)

You can pretty much count on EFT's of any kind taking 5 days. They all try to get a little from the float.

I am surprised. Last time it showed up within a day. These business practices of holding payments are really starting to bother me. If I had been keeping a balance it'd cost ME interest. Greedy, greedy, greedy.
