Anyone ever have any experience with FCND/Newport News and getting some past late pays off your report? Just testing the waters before I try the "goodwill letter" through planetfeedback. Thanks!

FCNB doesn't respond to letters through PFB. I wrote them on April 4, still waiting for a response.

If you mind me asking, what are you trying to accomplish with them? I've got a few 30 day lates and one 60 day late from about two/three years ago I'm trying to get rid of.

    Dear A. Patrick Linton,

I am writing with a question about the experience at Fcnb Bank.

In October 2001, I was approved for a secured card through your bank. Since it
has been over the 6 months required (I was told this by a customer service
representative) I would like to know if you can unsecure my account and raise my
credit limit to match that of my Capital One card. Currently my Capital One card
    has a limit of $700.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would appreciate a response within
    10 business days.

    Sincerely,
    Erica
