I had a First Consumers card with my ex-husband back in 96. When we divorced in 97, it was in the decree that he was to pay. The balance at the time was $88. However, dim-wit couldn't even pay the $10 bill and it was charged off.

I didn't know it was defaulted...until it hit my credit report. The balance is now $92.

I want this gone. I've already written them a letter and they're like "You're responsible too as a joint cardholder". Yeah...okay.

Should I just try to validate with them? It's been years and I doubt they have any signature.
