I am about to go after a CA for several violations of the FDCPA. They have committed about 6 violations. However I am understanding that I can only sue them for the maximum of a $1,000 and not $1,000 per violation. Am I reading this right? Thanks everyone.

No they are not reporting to the bureaus. I currently have about 6 violations that they have violated. But I am still reading through the FDCPA a little more. I want to nail them as best I can. I have already filed a complaint with the FTC and just recieved the form from the NJ Attorney General to file a complaint with them. One thing is that the CA is in NJ and I am in NY. From what I understand is CA's don't have to be licensed in NJ but have to be bonded. How would I go about finding out the bonding company? US District Court here I come!!!!!!!!!!
