In view of your excellent credit history, you've been pre-approved for the Citi Diamond Preferred Card* ... I can understand your itch. I just got my Amex Blue in the mail Saturday and I already want to apply for a new card. However, I don't know anything about this Citi Card. Looks kinda cool from the sample card they had attached to the letter. Hey that is an Idea.... I will just put the sample card in my wallet and look cool.... LOL!!! Seriously. I have thought about applying for this card but I don't want another inquiry. Score already went down 8 points from the Amex inquiry.
Just think of the 20-50 points you're going to lose when that new account hits. Works for me (most of the time). If you have to jump, go for a biz account and save some fico points.
exactly what i just did went for fusa/bank one biz (yeah - i know it's Ex - but f**k it - they give high limits and I think they're not too freaked out over inquiries - we'll wait and see) I'M SO ASHAMED!
