To test my new clean Experian report I applied for a Pottery Barn retail card and got instant approval for $600. OK, it's a small victory. But you know, I have been part of the bad credit underworld for so long I can't tell you how good it feels to be able to apply for a simple credit card and not cringe awaiting the answer. I'm starting to feel like a normal human being, and not the scum-sucking vermin of society that everyone treats you like when you have questionable credit. I started out in Sept 2002 with 38 negatives on all three reports, and now I have 2 negatives (1-EQ & 1-TU) which will hopefully soon be gone. I'm crawling my way out of the bad credit abyss finally, and I could NOT have done it without all you smart people here at Creditnet! Thank you!
Congratulations!! I know how you feel. I used to have to hold my breath every time I used my card, afraid it would be declined. Feels good, doesn't it?
