I was driving this morning and heard about a Toyota deal on the radio for a CAMRY.
It was advertised for some payment - but I really was not listening.

    THEN - it said - I WAS LISTENING - that the $XXX
payment was only available to PREMIUM CREDIT applicants - those with a FICO of 660 or more !!!!
This was the first time I've ever heard a specific FICO
score requirement being given in any advertisement!!

There you go - here in SF, Toyota rates 660 as premium for a car loan.

    Hmmmm.....now I wonder if 660 qualifies as premium credit on a Porsche Boxster S - not that I would.... hmmmm....BMW M3?

not interested in a CAMRY - dogman

Probably a 700+ for the Beemer M3. LOL

I could only dream about that car. I guess it kinda follows the "if you have money" guidelines. In other words you must belong to some elite class (let's turn our noses up!) thing. In other words Toyota appears to be saying that the Camry is not the car for the credit blemished and not to even bother for a decent loan on it.

Well, I am off to dream about that Roadster convertible I will never have.....

There's a dealer in my area that's been advertising leasing approved with a 700 fico.

I think we'll see more of this sort of thing now that credit scores are public.

    Hey Dog!

You are too much sometimes. LOL

But seriously, here in S. CA, where there is a car dealer on every corner...

Some of the premium cars have been advertising cretain lease/purchase deals with excellent lease factor/apr. for 720 + credit scores for some time.

Down here Experian gets pulled for everything and if you saw my "Credit score article" today - You will have found out that good old EX has a range that only goes to 820. Why can't they pull TU here which goes to 950. LOL

    COBRANDING YUGO / CCB

I know that the Lexus Platinum Edition came with a no fee American Express Platinum Charge as one of the perks for buying the car.

I believe YUGO could package their Crumbling Aluminum Edition with a GOLD Cross Country Bank Visa in every glovebox, if you qualify!

OK - I COULD GO ON HERE BUT 2 KEEP IT SHORT:

    YUGO Option Packages:
Onboard computer!? Yup, every thrilled YUGO owner proudly drives off with an old computer in the back seat! *(No customer has the right to select computer, nor does computer compute! ONE EXCEPTION: Atari available for $1000 extra - owned by Gulag Mucheen, the stylist for YUGO's stepdaughter's cousin-in-law!)

sorry getting a bit sarcastic again....think people will
pay $100 A TICKET TO SEE ME LIVE?

    you get the idea.... dogman

From these post on this subject it's easy to see how the FICO is damaging the overall economy :
