Log in to the Providian website, click "View my Account" and then "Credit Profile" and it will show you your TU FICO score. It appears that they'll update it monthly. Also, make sure that you click on "Credit Score Tracking". It will show your FICO score every month for the past year.
Hot tip. Thanks. I'm betting that you need an ACCOUNT with them to do this. They were included in my BK two years ago. You think there's any chance they'll let me have an account so I can view this handy feature? G.H.
well, kind of cool that it's available. BUT, mine says my score is 759 and it was last updated on 2/15. well, about a week before that (2/8), I ordered my TU fico right on myfico and it gave me a score of 725. one month after that (3/6) I ordered it on myfico again and it was 722! my score has generally stayed right at 720s for the past 6 months. and i just checked my TU again on myfico, and it's 707.
Just got back from Providian...nice feature. They recently updated their website, but my balance with them is always $0 since they have me at like 21% interest. I never navigate through their site at all. They also have a derog on my husbands report from an account he never had with them ( I'm working on it) and he looks at me kind of frowning if I try to pay anything with their card! I will become a frequent visitor now...Thanks for the tip AustinGuy!
Very Cool! Thanks for the reminder! My TU Fico is at 739 (down from 756) :-( due to high bal and a recent inquiry (just one)... Wonder how PVN FICO compares to the actual TU CR... probably inflated (look at notation that states "Number of Delinquincies" -- "Unavailable"). Not 100% accurate but still handy. MrX
I went to the Providian site last night...it said my fico was 743, and that I had FOUR derogs...I know that I should have two at most, so I ordered my CR through TU....only one derog (one of the two that I know I have), and my TU fico is 727. So its not completely accurate. On a side note, I've come to an interesting place in my credit report history. I have an old mortgage with four 90 day lates, and a couple of 120 day lates. Zero balance, they accepted less than the full amount as payment in full. This TL is will fall off in one year. According to my TU credit report, it is both a positive and a negative. Negative because of the lates, but positive because its my oldest tradeline, from 1989. A couple of months ago, I applied for a Citi CC, but was denied, due to high utilization according to them. I thought that was interesting because when I get denied it was always because of the mortgage tradeline. I had a feeling it was because the mortgage is aging. So I might even take a fico hit when it finally falls off. My next oldest account is only 4 years old.
