I recently ordered my credit score from annualcreditreport.com and decided to pay for the number score. I was surprised at how high it was as I had always heard that FICO scores topped out at 850. I have since been told that this was a FAKO score. I don't know what the difference is and if I need the actual FICO, if so where should I get it? Thanks!
If it was a "Transunion" report, the score you recieved tops out at 990. Look for the "grade" (A, B, etc.). Go to www.myfico.com for the true FICO score.
