    Get this...

I charged $211 on a retail card. Statement has NOT even cycled yet but they reported it to EQ. I lost 13points...just like that! I have already paid it so it shouldn't even EVER hit the statement. EVERYTHING else is exactly the same as it was on 12/26/01 when I had a 753 FICO. Today it is 740.

    What does this mean?

IMO, it means that the effect of having balances on more than a couple of cards makes you take a big hit. I had balances on 3 cards (really two but one didn't update after paying to zero) on 12/26. Today, with this new charge, it would appear to be balances on 4.

    Interesting...

The billing date is NOT the ONLY day that a credit card companys can "REPORT" to the CRA'S...
