FICO Score for mortgage approval?

    Hello,

    I was wondering what your credit score has to be to get a mortgage approval at a decent rate?

    ALL 3 are pulled they use the MIDDLE one...

    They may just ask for a little higher rate...or more down...

    Even with poor credit...now-days it would be under 10%...WOULDN'T IT???

    I have seen advertised UNDER 4.00%

    I had an offer of 7% in March with a score of 580, but I have 20% equity. that was a 2/28. I'm staying with my 10.5% for 15(12 left) until I can raise my middle over 650.

    Thanks for your input. I don't currently have a mortgage, so I will just have a down payment.
