    Hello,

I would like to know if there is a real difference between the FICO score and the CRA Scores. I keep hearing that there is. For instance, I am in a program now where I can pull all three credit reports and scores for a monthly fee of $14.95 per month. This is through Truecredit.com (an transunion company). But is this true fico scores they are giving me or some scores they calculated? Wouldn't it be important to have the fico scores, that is what most creditors look at right? What would be the point of me getting these scores as oppossed to the fico, unless they were VERY CLOSELY correlated. for instance, right now my transunion score is 675, Experian is 661 and Equifax is 648. Would my FICO scores reflect the same or will the scores very widely?

    I'm confused!

Well, even though they are on a scale up to 850, they don't call them FICO scores. Why don't you send an e-mail to Fair-Issacs and ask them?

When I first started my credit cleaning last year, I started with Truecredit and the answer to your question is yes. The scores that you can buy from Truecredit & Experian are sometimes vastly different than your true "Fico" scores. Equifax uses almost the same model and the credit score monitoring that you can purchase at "Myfico.com" is through Equifax. I believe the other scores from TU and EXP are called "Fako's" by many.
