    Hi everyone,

Well, I finally broke down and got my score.... 593 :(

I'm so bummed. This really is great motivation for cleaning up. Question:

I was just approved for a Target card (came today). Once I start using it and it gets reported, what difference can I expect in my score? This is my first and only department store card. Right now I have FCNB, 3 Cap One's and an Aria along with AT&T, Chevron and an auto loan all being reported PAID AS AGREED. I do have quite a few inquires (no more for a long time, I'm on the wagon).

    Thanks (again),
    CR

You won't see any difference until the account reaches 12 months.

Where does it say that 12 months is a magic number?
