Hi All!!!! Question: Can someone please let me know if an item is in dispute is it ignored when filing for credit or is it still counted against you on your FICO Score?
I'm not sure about Experian and Trans Union, but Equifax wil show the disputed item(s) on the report. But, they wil say disputed by consumer and it will not be figured into your score until it is updated one way or the other.
That's right... Barry Papperno, a manager at Fair Isaac, accounts under investigation DO NOT count towards or against your FICO credit scores.
