I filed ch. 7 in 1996 and it was resolved in 96. I get a copy of my CR every year and I just got my EX one today. However I noticed one of the CA (Dept. Store) which I included in the bankruptcy shows the account as "Closed" and the CA's statement as: "account closed at credit grantor's request.". Also it shows the date of status/last reported as 2002. So the account is screduled to continue on my CR 3 years after the bankruptcy should come off. Doesn't this seem to violate FCRA? I'm not sure if I should write a letter to EX stating what I just wrote or if I should contact the CA? Also one of my creditors states that the debt was included in the bankruptcy and the account was charged off.. however it shows the account as being discharged through BK7 on 11/30/99. This CA also last reported last month. How is this possible? How can they include it as a charge off in 1999 when the BK was in 96. Any advice, letter samples, blah blah blah would be greatly helpful! -Raine
