Was a little surprised - I applied on-line (didn't want to get to the store and do the application) - then called later that day prepared for the "yes there was a BK in 1995, but there were extenuating circumstances, who can I fax the info to ..." speech. The rep replied, "oh, you don't have to do that, it was approved for $1,000" ...not as good as $10k from NextCard, but it's an approval without any extra explanation. Guess the BK is old and the scores of good trades (not FICO, the 20+ positive tradelines) are working. They pulled TU (weird here in NE - everyone else uses Experian). Hope this helps someone else out there- mj PS- should have added - I only did this for the extra 10% off ... an expensive inquiry, I know, but whenever I feel a little blue, a new little piece of plastic always brightens my day
