I sent a letter to a CA 30 days ago demanding they delete an account (isn't mine!)...they haven't responded to me nor have they marked the item in dispute w/ CRA's. I'm writing another letter to them demanding they delete since they haven't proved it was mine... but should I also file complaints w/ the BBB, FTC & AG to show them I mean business? Or should I just threaten to file the complaints first, and see if they respond then? I want this deleted ASAP-anything else I should do?

I've had very good luck with the BBB and AG with companies that do not respond to validation letters.

I've file complaints with the FTC too but have never seen anything good come out of it.

My AG got 2 items removed and the BBB got a bottom feeder removed.

And I sent a copy of a BBB letter from a complaint to the CRA staying they can not do a complaint on a company no longer in business after the CRA told me to try the BBB. The CRA then deleted the item.

I wouldn't threaten it, just do it. If they didn't respond to your other mail, what makes you think they care about your threats?
