Hi! Ok, I'm going to need to sue the landlord that I wrote about (it seems like an eternity ago). I live in Texas and this occurred in Colorado. Can I sue from here??

    THanks!

Not in most small claims courts (or districts). You have to sue where the problem happens or the defendent resides.

Do you know if I have to go there to file or can I file by mail. I'll go there for the court thingy..but I was hoping to avoid 2 trips! Thanks

Aw, George..yup, I need ya again! I sent him a detailed list using his own "walkthough" (which he never showed up for) which contradicted completely the charges...and he signed for it but ignored it...
Hey, remember those 2 points I owe ya..I'll double it if you'll take care of this! LOL

You can file by mail. Many courts will not process the suit if you appeared live anyway because of the backlog. Find the correct court and then call and talk with the clerk. Explain the situation and they will help...

    Nana,

Good luck with the suit. Just to let you know, some courts have the ability of filing online. Check into that before you file via snail mail.
