I finally have one clean report ... BUHAHAHAHAHA I started exactly 2 years ago with 19 negs on Equifax. As of today I have none as the last inaccurate account just expired after 7 years. In the process I even collected $500 from a collection agency who caved before my lawsuit filing. Bought a house and even just got a nice credit card. Folks... keep fighting you can do it. I never had to step foot in a court yet, As far as TU I got 1 neg left. Started of with 22 negs and a score of 400 something. Now I'm almost to 700. Just keep working at it guys. As far as Experian, well.. I just might have to sue them. Luckily, no one uses them so I'll take my time suing them. I'm waiting until I get at least 10K in violations against them so it's worth my time to take off work. Folks you can correct errors on your reports Keep at it.
Guys FYI: That one last neg was 6 year repo and it cost me 85 points! I'm not kidding you. This FICO is bullshit talking about the older the account the less it affects your age. Well I'm proof that is bullshit. I went from 644 to a 729 after that neg came off. Now can anyone recommend a platinum card for a score with 729 Thx
Get a Citicard... with my pathetic scores I got 3200 with the Upromise card... (had a 660 at the time) My buddy has an 801 fico and he got a 20k for the instant app... will increase shortly probably...
Citi will probably require a spotless TU report, so you may have to wait for that one last thing on TU to fall off or be removed.
Every time I've tried, I've gotten a 1 reason denial, "a derogatory account either paid or unpaid", and I've tried MyPoints, AA, and last night Upromise ('Further processing'). When I checked my PG though, I saw an inq from them for a few weeks ago, while I was definately nowhere near anything to apply for any type of card, i.e. miles from anywhere, and hundreds of miles from my computer. So I'm wondering if it took them 3 months to get around to answering my PFB on the last denial, asking for reconsideration for anything.
Congratulations!! I like Citi as well, but I also love my First USA (now Bank One) United Mileage Plus Signature Visa. It depends what rewards you want. I also just got a Cap One card. Not much rewards, but a 2.9% BT for life of the transfer. They gave me $20K. The problem is that they'll pull ALL THREE reports. I know a lot of people don't like Cap One, but I think it depends whether it's a prime card or not. Bank of America also has the US Airways Dividend Miles Visa, which is another good card. But I don't know how long US Airways will survive.
Re: Re: Finally!!!!!!!!!! Buahhahaha I am so psychic... Just got an office of the president letter, saying tough luck, you're still ineligible. Since you indicated that your credit report is in error, I'ld suggest you dispute it with TU. DUH! I've done that, so many times I've been labeled as a PAIN...
