    Hello all,

Just wanted to vent: I finally closed my Visa Account with First Premier Bank. Had the card for almost 2 yrs. Never late, paid off balance for awhile, then mantained balance thereafter, still never late requested for unsecured status: was denied, so I closed it. PI*T me off.
But I still have their MC ( for now) it is my only Revolving account at this time. Seriously thinking of just saving for a long time and then acquire the secured card from ABOC (Amalgamated Bank of Chicago) or maybe Bank of America (?) I am in need to really build my credit. FPB was very disappointing .

    Any suggestions??

    Thank you.

I think you made mistake by closing it now. If it was only your second revolving open account by closing it you just lowered you chances of getting prime card because the issuers like AmEx, Chase, Bank of America are looking for at least 2 open, positive, 2 years or older revolving credit lines in order to approve you.

So get the prime cards first, then close sub-prime cards.
