Be aware if you get a call from an outfit out of Florida called Financial First Marketing
Consultants. They offer a high limit Master or Visa card for $149 one time sign up fee.
Sounds like they have a list of people who have been turned down. Its a scam! They get your money, and you never hear from them again. The phone number they give you gives you a chance to leave a message, but they never call back. I'm sure they use the answering machine just as a screen. I got burned. Remember the saying "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is". Won't forget that one for awhile.

Thanks for the tip. But just to let you know that scam companies like these don't limit themselves to lists of recent refusals or even sub-prime lists, once they've used up those they literally go through the phone book blind calling but still using the "you have been turned down recently" lie.

And for every one of these crooks the government closes down 10 more spring up to take their place.
