The newspaper said today that Fingerhut is closing down. I never used their services nor have I had their card, but they are the most annoying company out there when it comes to pop up or pop under credit solicitions. Frequently I have had as many as 10 pop under ads from them in one session. Glad to see them go. I think their policy was to annoy you until you applied for credit.
It's a shame that they're closing. I'll miss paying 49.95 for paper towel holders, or 499.99 for a Reagan-era stereo. wajaba
My .02 I purchased a living room set about 7 yrs ago from Fingerhut that has held up great. I priced furniture everywhere at the time and could not find a style I liked. They are harassing bunch and I told them to take me off their call list which they did. I also had closed my account at the time. It still shows open on all credit reports w/ a 0 balance. I wonder if they will have a 50% off sale and make things affordable now.
