What worked best for you??? I'm paranoid about getting the dreaded "frivolous" letter thrown at me! How many disputes have you sent to the CRA at a time and what form do you use? Four at a time in one letter, four individual letters, or the online method? Which is likely to give the best result? And validate with CA and/or OC first - and then send dispute to CRA's a week later? Or just dispute with CRA's first, working with OC's and CA's after no result with CRA? I've got about 20 derogs that are mostly 90-120 days late with a couple of CO's and one repo. *stupid stupid stupid* All are valid, but amounts and dates don't exactly match up to my records. Thanks for your patience - just trying to do this the right way the first time. We're buying a house in 11 months - mistakes now could cost me a lot in interest later. THANKS!!!
What worked best for you??? Unfortunately, there is no magical answer to your question. I would not go to the CRA's with all 20 at a time however....spread them out...5-6 maybe...and (KISS) use the internet....its much easier to dispute online. As for who to validate with first,,,,have you tried calling the OC and pleading your case....whatever the sob story is for your lates? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt...step up and takes yer chances....some posters may have magical mystery tour stories to tell you about how they did it...but it boils down to who you get on the phone and how willing they are to help you...its just that simple...if they wont...time will help cure some of these lates and you may be able to dispute them off by going through the CRA and the OC does not respond...but what I found the most effective..was to call the OC and plead your case...as I said...it may just work...probably not in all circumstances
What worked best for you??? Yeah, that makes sense. I'll start with the OC's and then move on to the CRA's in hopes they don't validate. Hopefully the year of good history we're creating while saving will help our scores a little too. Thanks for your time.
