I have yet to recieve anything in writing from any creditors - probably can't find me but it is on my credit report. I have recently started getting calls from numbers that seem like they are creditors - I've been ignoring them.

If I get them on the phone, can I use that as my first contact and request validation? I have not corresponded with any of them as of yet.

I didn't see anything on this so far - this board is vast so forgive me if I overlooked it...I've read hundreds of post and will continue to.

    Thanks!

Yes, the initial contact can be a phone call. And you don't have to wait until you receive their debt validation notice...you can send your DV letter to the collector right away.
