I got a mailer offering 5.99% or lower interest rates for loans with no equity needed. What do yall think about that. I wouldnt mind doing that to lower some of my higher interest rate credit cards.

Do they hurt your credit scores. I am really asking are they like finance loans......???

I got the same thing and I called. The rate on there is NOT what you will get. Their excuse to me is that it was mailed when rates were lower.

    Roni,
I have a second mortgage with them right now. The loan was opened in March of 2000, and is being refinanced with them now (still being processed). It reports as a mortgage loan, but on their automated system, it's an installment loan.

The refi is going through as a line of credit for 6 months, with the option to convert to a 15-year installment as before with a lower rate.

I have had no problems with them.

Don't you have to have a "TRUTH IN LENDING" statement with the
    INTEREST RATE & TERMS?

You can always "WALK" if you don't like the rate.

I was going to go car shopping before the 0.00% rate EXPIRES...I would say 0.00% or I will walk, somebody will sell me a car today...
