Hello everyone. Hope you are all doing well.

This is my first post here. I used to post on AOC, but that has been down forever now. Sadly, I still have some stuff to take care of.

I sort of ignored some things in the past, but now I just want to get rid of them. I have saved a little cash and want to try to settle.

The first thing I need to do is figure out who to settle with! I haven't heard from any debt collectors in a while, so I'm not sure who is trying to collect from me, and I don't want to try to settle with the wrong CA.

So, I would like to get copies of my credit reports. I've done the free annual service within the last 12 months, but I need fresh copies.

I know I can get free copies if adverse actions have occured (like credit denials). But I also know that the credit card companies do not all report the adverse action to all three CRA's.

So, to which agencies to credit card companies report the credit application and denial? Basically, I need to apply for three cards, with one denial sent to Experian, one to Transunion, and one to Equifax.

    Thank you.

Am I understanding you correctly? You want to apply for credit cards so you can get denied and then get a free look at your credit reports?

That's not a good idea. Don't do that, as it will just put more hard inquiries on your credit reports and hurt your credit scores even more. If you've already used your 3 free reports from annualcreditreport.com for the year, then take a look in our credit report section and sign up for whichever service looks like it fits your needs.

Once you get your free credit reports, don't forget to call the next day and cancel if there is a free trial and then a monthly membership fee included in the deal.
