I used them when I was starting to establish. I never had any kind of issues with them. The fees are very high, but at the time I was 18 and itching for my freedom:) I still have my cc my cl went from 300 when I 1st got it to 2000 I dont use it but 2 a year to keep it active. If you can deal with the fees, I would do it. Keep in mind 1st premier will punish you for going ovl. They will asses fees and sometimes temp. revoke your privl. to use the card . Until you are back under the cl.

Back in February I received one of those mailers saying you are Pre-Approved, I thought it was a joke at first, I haven't seen one of those in years! I read through it, ate the initial fee, which I believe was $149.00, and there is a $6.00/month fee as well, but for me, I have paid it in full each month (its only a $200.00 line, and its only helping my credit, I have had absolutly no problems at all with them, everytime I talk to someone they are very friendly and have always been able to answer my questions.

My only problem with them is their online payments, its a $7.00 charge (I think around that) to make an online payment! Then, they can hold the funds for 2+ weeks! They told me they do that on random, but I doubt it. I do the wire from my bank (where I work so its free for me to send them out) and they charge $5.00 to accept the wire, but my payment gets posted the same day.

Overall my experience with them has been great, and I would reccommend them to anyone interested.

I agree; that is ridiculous! Why not just get a secured card and establish some credit if that's what you want.

Do a search for them on the FTC, your state's AG, and the BBB.

PA's AG had a very detailed suit against them detailing their deceptive marketing practices and illegal collection tactics by both of their names First Premier, and Premier Bankcard.
