First Premier Bank - what a joke

I just received an unsolicited credit card offer in the mail from First Premier Bank. I couldn't believe what I was reading.

Upon receiving your application, you may be approved for a $250 CL. Of that 250 CL, you will immediately have $72 of available credit. That's because you are charged a program fee, account set up fee, annual fee, & monthly maintenence fee. WTF?!?!?!

Why would anyone get that? Don't tell me it's to rebuild credit. I am 4 months out of BK-7, and I have 2 secured credit cards, and 2 secured installment loans. My money is much better off in those accounts, than in the pocket of First Premier.

For the record, one of the credit cards is American Pacific - they have to be one of the best secured cards out there. The other credit card is through a local credit union. No annual fee, no fees, 12.9% interest rate. Can't beat that.

I'll add that I get one of these every 2-3 months. I tear my name off the form, fold it up and put it in the postage paid reply envelope they provide. I then add other junk mail without my name until the envelope is full and mail it back to them.

It is my way to fight postal spam from these jerks.

I hear a lot of bad talk about Forst Premier Bank. I belief the company is look unfairly if consider what they are targeting for.

First Premier r was the only chooice for me available 5 years ago. With a FICO score of 530 and desperatly to keep avay from Bankrupsy, the started to report to all 3 CRA . The best thing I like is that they report the card withour the notation SECURE.

This os very important because when you boost yur score up, must lenders identify this note that you had a obscure past.

Thay are felxible on reporting to the CRA when having bound check or past the due date.

Most card or loans will report you delinquest if late 1 day!

First Premier is just good to restablish our credit.

U think that is bad? SOme time ago "year or so" I received a letter offering me a visa with a credit line of 2500 however they where going to transfer the balance from a debt that I had with a creditor in the amount of 2800 all I had to do was do monthly payments to bring the debt down and I would have some credit lol

    WTF where they thinking?

I got one of those from Alegis. I can't remember which charged off cc balance they were going to transfer, but it was about 10k. To their credit, there was a section in bold stating they believed the 10k to be a time-barred debt, and they could not pursue legal avenues to collect it.

LOL! That is exactly what I did. I took all these little "ads" from other junk mail and placed it in FP's postage paid envelope. I do hope they enjoyed it.
