I have been disputing an account that is clearly in accurate on my credit report. It lists as follows: Opened 8/00 90+ days late 10/00 Closed by Consumer 05/01 Clearly, if the account was only two months old its impossible to be 90+ days past due. I disputed with one of the bureaus (the other two deleted the account) and the tradeline came back verified. After calling First Premier and asking "WTF?" a rep told me they would pull all the statements and check the account. She told me they are MANUALLY filed and take two to three weeks to pull before an analysis can begin. She told me this is both a lot of work and "difficult" for them to do. Just wanted to share, in case others here can take advantage of FP's antiquated record keeping system. Comments?
Not suprised. My experience with 1st Premier and credit reporting mistakes has been a nightmare. Sorry for you, but still glad to know I'm not the only one.
