Thank you, jam. That was an informative read, and a scary situation. To update, I finally heard back from the OC regarding my mailed money order payments to my account. They confirmed that they received them, and also sent an itemized bill/invoice for my records. They unfortunately did not acknowledge anything about my previous hardship letter. Oh well. Next payment I'm inquiring about financial assistance available. Hopefully I can find some help there. So, I should be getting around to dealing with the CA and their collection fees. What would be a good way to start this process? DV letter?
