I used my new Target Guest Card for the first time today, when they rang it up, the screen said: Call Auth Center. The cashier called, gave them my number, then asked for my license, checked it, read my license number to the person on the phone, they must have said something about signatures and she said, yes they match. The cashier was given an auth code to type in and it went through. Has anyone else had this happen? Kinda freaked me out...
Same thing here, watch your credit report they dont put the limit in only the high balance this hurts your score.
Same thing happened to me when I went shopping for my kids' school supplies. Got up to the register and cashier received message to call the authorization center. I held up the line for at least fifteen minutes while cashier went to find a phone that would work, lol! Calmest_LA
This is a security feature on the first time use to ensure that the card did not fall into the wrong hands.
