Okay folks - I won't go into the whole story again - how I applied for the Readers Digest Plat MC - got a pending notice - we need address verification - and the endless calls I made to their application status line (Your application is under review blablabla) HOWEVER - here's the latest on the FUSA Fiasco: Mailed in the verification they needed (phone bill, gas bill, ssn photocopy) - called last week to check on status - they told me your verification documents were RECEIVED - but the application is still under review - try calling next week. OKAY - I call today - and - LO AND BEHOLD - your account is pending because we never received the documents requested. Strange - I reply - because last week they told me they received all the verification I sent in the mail over a week ago. Sorry - sir - but it says here that the application is still pending because they're waiting to receive your phone bill, gas bill, etc! Try calling in another few days says the cs rep - maybe the documents you sent are still being "processed" (what's to process - I don't get it)... What a pain in the butt!!! At this point I don't want the friggin card - but First USA says - get this - we can't cancel an application! If you're approved - you can close it after you receive it!!! JEEZ!
George: That's the number I call and receive the following "Your application is under review. You will be notified in writing within 7 to 10 business days of our decision." Then i asked to be speak to an advisor. and that's when they tell me - it's still pending til they receive the verification requested. Just spoke to another "advisor" (yeah - i know - I should get a life!) this one told me - that the dept that deals with verification documents is "backed up" they probably received it but it hasn't been entered yet on the application. She did tell me - however - that when the verification is entered on the application - they make a decision at the same time. Her advice - call back NEXT friggin WEEK.
Tell them your going on VACATION... You need to know if you have to get the neighbor to check the mail EVERY DAY for the card...
