Fix a very messed up TL?

I thought the worst of my problems were with my charge offs, as I've detailed http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&goto=newpost&threadid=57896&pgnum=1, but it would seem that I was wrong and have an even more messed up TL.

Just trying to figure out do I dispute / validate / what.

I've got a car loan that was paid in full in 1999. It should actually be a positive TL for me. However, now that I'm finally paying attention, I've noticed that the TL is REALLY screwed up.

All 3 show Status: CLOSED, Balance 0, Past Due 0

    EQ shows:
Payment Status: 120 Days past due (never true)
And has OKs for the monthly status up through THIS month

    EXP shows:
Payment Status: 180 Days past due (never true)
And has 120s for the monthly status for monthly status through THIS month

    TU shows:
Payment Status: 120 past due (not true)
And has a mixture of 30s, 120s, and oks for the past two yers, including a 30 last month, and a 120 for this month.

This account was closed and paid in full in 1999. They are seemingly reporting invalid information, given that they are still showing account activity today. (Ya think 2+ years of 120 lates MIGHT be impacting my score a little).

Do I dispute with the CRUs as Never late or something more complicated?

Do I try to validate with the OC? or just demand that they fix the problem? Is there a letter for that?

Looks as if you need to start with the CRA. Dispute it, maybe they will correct it. They have 30 days to respond. If they dont remove it, Send the OC your dispute/validation letter. They also get 30 days. Certify with return receipts all correspondence from here on. Hopefully they correct it. Check your report after 30 days, if not clear, send another certified courtesy letter giving them one last chance (maybe a couple weeks to reply). Proceed with official complaints to the BBB and FTC and finally civil action. Should not take more than 4-6 months to clear this up.
