Hello ..here is the situation...I got my reports and it showed an unpaid medical collection. (Silly me and pre-creditnet) I paid it. I also had 6 other medical accounts from 4 yrs ago (3 $20, $65, $135, $165) that they reported as paid legally for 1/2 which was not true as I had the reciept. To make a long story short the 6 updated to report to paid collection the single unpaid that I paid got deleted off the reports but now somehow it has reappeared on my report as paid but a different account number and the same CA that held the six and reaged by at least a year difference from the first tradeline and reported as of last month. I need advice on what I can do to be rid of these. Do I send a letter of validation to this new line or dispute with the CRA's?? PS it was only reported to esperian and tu and now it is on all three. I had disputed with the CRA's on the six last month since the way they were reported and surprise surprise they were verified with only the change mentioned above. I am trying to be good this time and look before leaping (unlike how I started) Thank you all with your patience and hopefully I have not done too much damage yet.
<<Bump>> Any suggestions other than validation/CCRR?? Should I wait return of green card to dispute or dispute now with CRA since it just showed up?? Should I only do to one or and a group of 6 or each individual or one lump sum of 7?? I definitely dont have the hang of this yet (feeling frustrated)
hello and first of all thank you for the knowledge you have already given. Things are working slowly but surely, however I dont have an exact game plan for this situation. Please dont blacklist me for my opinion in the "it had to be said" thread
I read this over and over again but I can't begin to give any real advice on what to do? if its just a simple paid collection that you want removed then do a search on "nutcase" or "paid collections" stuff reappearing is way outside of what I personally know (I am still a newbie)
First send a validation letter to the CA telling them they are wrong and must prove this listing in its entirety or delete immediately. After you get the CRRR back, send a simple dispute to the CRA(s) that this account re-appeared on. If the account numbers are in fact wrong you KNOW there is no legitimate way for them to validate nor verify the listing so if they do you build up evidence to take them to court...if they don't it gets deleted. One way or the other you should be able to get this corrected. By the way, PAID COLLECTION vs. UNPAID COLLECTION or SETTLED for 1/2 are all derogatory scoring factors and (depending on the particulars) may not the best way to handle things in the future. Now that you have the knowledge, exercise the power of CreditNet to its fullest ) -peace, Dave
first thank you all for responding. From what I can tell this isnt a reinsertion but somewhere it changed CA's and I guess account numbers. The phone number was the same for both CA's. I guess a more concise question would be do I send 1 CCRR letter of validation or do I send 7 letters to the same people CCRR? Four of the seven are < $100. Three of those are $20. They lumped them into one "court apperance" but listed each individually on the report. They are all about 2 years old.
Are they all from the same creditor/CA? If so, one letter demanding validation of the seven accounts would be ok I guess (I never have seen 7 accounts listed that way before). Anyone else? -Peace, Dave
yes it was so very nice of them to seperate out all the office visits into different account numbers. I was so very happy when I saw that. I know I paid the doctor my portion of the office visits and they failed to tell me that if I saw a different doctor in the same office that my insurance wouldnt cover it hence the other visits for 65 and one for 135 (he did a prescription) So I am not sure how to tackle this exactly....
bump so my inclination is to send one letter of validation ccrr for all 7 accounts or I also thought about the knockout letter which one would you do??
Knockout or Validation To knockout or validate that is the question....now leaning toward knockout for all seven paid collections
