EQ has my first name listed with an extra letter in it. I spoke to a rep. and she said I would have to prove that what they have is wrong. They wanted a copy of my Social Security card. I don't have a clue where it is, I haven't seen it for years. In lue of the SScard she said I could send in a copy of my paystub, and my phone bill. Does this seem reasonable to you? I don't want them knowing how much I make. Should I block out all that information, or just send them the top part. Please advise.

Just black out what you don't want them to see. And get yourself a new SS card, silly.

I found my latest Social Security Statement, the one that estimates your benefits. It shows the date of March 7, 2002 and my correct name and address. Shouldn't this be enough?

This is the first time in twenty something years I have been asked for it, :), so I never saw the need until now to have it. In fact I don't recall ever being asked for it. Given the conditions the world is in now I probably should get a copy.

Send a copy of your driver's license...it has your NAME...

WHY DO YOU HAVE TO PROVE WHO YOU ARE (NAME, ADDRESS, SS#)...BUT THEY WHO PUT THE GARBAGE ON YOUR REPORT HAVE TO PROVE NOTHING!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Under FCRA when you dispute "any" information isn't the obligation on the CRA to verify or delete?
