Flagged CRA File?

    What Exactly does this mean? How can it hurt you? How long do they keep it on you.

    I don't know that anyone has ever "seen" a flagged file. It is commonly believed that if one sends what the CRA considers a "Frivoulous" string of disputes (i.e. I dispute EVERYTHING negative in my file as not mine, all at the same time) that your file may be flagged. It is also believed that a file is "Flagged" if the CRA discovers you are using a Credit Repair Agency. How they could discover this, I do not know, and what does a flag mean? They still have to consider your disputes.
