All, Does anyone know of a downpayment assistance program for first time homebuyers in Pennsylvania ? Can I even qualify for such a thing? My salary is a little more than 70,000/yr. Most programs I've looked at had a maximum income of 51,000/yr and you had to go through a certain lender (Nehemiah progam and some others). I'm looking for a home now but could really use a downpayment assistance program so I can easily pay the closing cost myself. Thanks
doggie, I am also in PA and am in the process of going through Montgomery County Homebuyer's program. The only problem with that as far as you are concerned is you are over the income cap for a single person. I don't know where you are in PA but you could go to Montco's website and see if there are any others in other counties in the area that you would be interested in living. Hope this helps, A
