I was thinking, if someone were to write an OC and explain that they owe the debt, but were having difficulties in their lives at the time and ask for a goodwill adjustment, What happens if they say no? Haven't you just admitted in writing to a creditor that you owe the debt and now that hurts your chances of ever being able to dispute it? Just a thought.........
