I had two Fleet charge offs- one in 1994 & one in 1995. I sued them in 1996 under the Massachusetts FCRA, then got billed twice for a paid account (1999 and 2000).

My most recent challenge to their inaccurate reporting of charge of date got a pleasant response- they deleted all info from my credit report and asked if I was satisfied, in order to NEVER hear from me again.

Fleet Bank makes a lot of mistakes. In my case, they decided deleting the info was easier than reporting accurate info (dates, etc).

    Too cool.

That's what happens when you bombard illiterate people with well-written English. Sooner or later, they give up.

Thats terrific ! It's always good to hear of the victories, too often we hear of the defeats and their results. Maybe we are all starting to wake up and stand up for our rights, and challenge these companies. Isn't it amazing at what can be accomplished when you know what your doing ! Congradulations once again. :)
