How hard is it to get a Fleet card? Are they reasonable with their APR and credit limits? Do they do any checking on you other than your credit report? That is, do they verify income, employment, and so forth? And, how long do they normally take to respond to your online application? Once you get the card, are they ok to deal with? They normally check TU here, and my TU score is about 770
i think they suck. Because of inquiries and new accounts (all in the same month i got my fleet, i got 3 other cards) when they did an AR after 6 months they reduced my card from $4000 to $500 and said it was due to excessive inquiries and new accounts. i said, why dont you pull a soft and see if i can get it re-instated. NO! ONLY A HARD! B/S! totally. None of my other 34 cards did this, so i have to give them two thumbs down in da butt for fleet. they did then offer me 0% for 6 months on my whopping 500 limit to rub it in my nose. overall i would say FLEET SUX
Haven't had them long enough to say much. My mother recently applied for a pre-approved card online. She applied on the 2nd and the balance transfer went through on the fifth. It was already reporting to all three CRA's by the 15th. All this month. I think it's a lousy card overall. 20 day grace. Other posts have been mostly critical of Fleet. Plus we misread the offer, thinking it was 0% on the balance transfer when it was only for purchases.
