I called the Fleet Customer Service to ask for limit increase for my Instant Advantage Platinum. They told me that they cannot give me instant increase and they have to forward to credit department for review. After two days, I logged on the online and ckecked on the status. I found out that they increased limit from $4200 to $6000. Thanks for Kevin to give me idea to increase the limit. Ron.
kevin, I called today to ask to convert my Instant Advantage Platinum Card into Fleet Titanium Card. They told me they cannot convert my card into Titanium Card and I have to fill out new application to apply for it. I tried not to make so many inquiries to my credit report within six months. Ron.

I am glad that they gave you an increase after a manual review by credit dept... anyways I check my Nordstrom platinum visa apr the rep told me is the same as the old visa account which is 14.90% and the rep told me that they do not consider lowering it until at least they have a nine month history on me... I said okay... so why the 15.15% they gave you I wonder... hmm I guess they go by the credit info... anyways Congrats on getting the platinum from them anyways... Hello Ron, Yeah 2 years ago I apply and got the regular visa... a year later they upgraded me to fusion visa.... a year after that I apply for the platinum visa but they gave me a titanium instead... is a cool looking kind of green and gray mixed looking so they can convert some accounts over some they can't like the fusion they can't covert to anything else... but then both of them are good looking card... so just make sure to use the card at least 6 out of 9 mons to get the next increase on both accounts lol... yeah I know about inqs I don't want too many either.... and i just got ding two times on exp with the two new apps pending... after that no more for a while... A year ago, they sent me solication checks for Instant Advantage Checks to open the Platinum Card more like the loan than the credit card. Actually I didn't get any rewards from that account. I used it monthly to buy small thing to keep it active. I didn't they can't convert any account into another type account like Citi. I need to apply for Fleet Titanium Card. Over all Fleet Bank is pretty nice to me and they increased my other two cards with them every year. They didn't lower any of card purchase apr even I asked and they can't upgrade your account if you have a regular Visa or MC. I have Blue Fusion Visa not Platinum and Savings Bond MC (formerly Edvance Card ) with them for over two years and they can't upgrade two cards into Platinum Card. By the way, I got one savings bond from them by using my Savings Bond Card for two years. By the way, you're the nicest person that I run from this board. Ron.
kevin, I don't know why they give 15.15% apr for me and anyway I'm not going to carry balances on this card since the rate is high. My other card has lower rate like Bank Of America Platinum Visa Cards has 9.9% APR for purchases and 4.25% BT until paid off, Citi give me 7.99% for Dividend , First USA Bank give me 7.99% and 9.99% fixed for purchases. I got pretty good rate for some of my card and actually I have plenty of choices to put on. By the way, my favorite card is Citibank Sony Card, Dividend, Diamond Preferred, MBNA and Discoveer Card NOT Juniper and Household Bank. Ron.
Hello Ron, Thank You for being a nice guy on the board to me as well! you had answer alot of questions in the past and up to now anyways I have the blue fusion card and the titanium card with fleet.. yup they have been really nice to me... on both cards I got a promo purchase rate of 4.9% until nov of this year... go to rate is not bad 9.99 for titanium and 10.99 for fusion visa card... anyways as of today no denial letters show up yet so I am crossing my fingers on both apps... anyways I will keep you posted on both of the apps... have a good one.. Ron: I didn´t know that they can not upgrade but I have called them a couple of times to try to combine my two Fleet platinum visas into one and they keep saying that this is not possible..."Sir, We don´t combine cards.". Go figure!!.
Geo, I called a couple times to lower apr for Fusion and Savings Bond Card and they keep telling me "NO" and also you cannot convert one card type into another type like MBNA , Citibank (Not Associates), and Bank One. Ron.
